Licenses and credits

Short version: this site's code is source-available, under the Microsoft Reference Source License (Ms-RSL). The few pieces that don't come from me keep their own license, detailed below.

The site's code

The source code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, nginx and Docker configuration) is published on GitHub: github.com/raph-dot-img/portfolio.

It is distributed under the Microsoft Reference Source License (Ms-RSL): you may read it and use it as a reference, but not modify or redistribute it. So it is not a free software license. It is provided as is, without any warranty. The full text is in the repository's LICENSE file.

The Windows 9x style icons and decorations (assets/win9x/) were drawn for this site, pixel by pixel, and are covered by the same Ms-RSL license.

Part of the design and some of the scripts were made with the help of an AI.

What about my personal content?

My CV, my contact details, my PGP key and the texts about me are excluded from the Ms-RSL license and remain all rights reserved. The details are in the repository's NOTICE file.

What comes from elsewhere

VT323 font

The blue screen font is VT323, copyright 2011 The VT323 Project Authors (Peter Hull). It is distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows using and redistributing it, but not selling it on its own. It is hosted on this site, so no request goes out to a third-party font service. License text: LICENCE-VT323.txt.

The cat on the 418 page

The laughing cat GIF is a meme that goes around the Internet. I don't know who originally made it. If it is yours and you would like to be credited or have it removed, write to me through the contact form.

The Windows look

The theme imitates the Windows 95, 98 and 2000 interface as a nod to them. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. This site is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Microsoft, and uses no graphic resource taken from Windows.

The software that runs the site

This software is not included in the repository: it is downloaded separately at deployment time. Each piece keeps its own license.

The contact form goes through Formspree, an online service rather than software distributed here. It is subject to its own terms of service, see the privacy policy.
