Privacy policy
Short version: this site is a plain static page. It does not track you, does not set any cookie and does not collect analytics. The only thing that really leaves your machine is what you type yourself into the contact form.
While browsing the site
The site is made of HTML, CSS and JavaScript files served as they are. There is no cookie, no tracker, no analytics tool and no user account.
As with any website, the server hosting these files may keep technical logs containing your IP address, the date of the visit, the page requested and your browser. This is how a web server normally works; these logs are used for diagnostics and security, and they are neither exploited nor cross-referenced with anything else.
No external content is loaded from another domain: no Google font, no CDN, no social network button. Nothing here tells a third party that you stopped by.
Where the site is hosted
The site is hosted at my home, in France. Traffic goes through a relay server (VPS) at Kyun.sh, in Romania, which handles TLS termination before forwarding the request to my personal server. Kyun.sh applies a "zero-access" policy to hosted data, but can technically process requests in the clear at the moment they are relayed.
Kyun.sh therefore acts as a processor under the GDPR, for the sole purpose of routing requests. Since Romania is a member state of the European Union, no data leaves the EU at this step, unlike the contact form described below.
If you use the contact form
The form is handled by Formspree, a third-party service that receives the message and forwards it to me by e-mail. I do not keep a database of my own.
What is transmitted
- The name you provide
- Your e-mail address, so that I can reply
- The subject and the content of your message
- Technical data added by Formspree, including your IP address, used for spam filtering
What I do with it
I use this information only to answer you. I do not sell it, do not share it with anyone and do not use it to send you anything you did not ask for.
Where it is stored
Messages you send pass through Formspree's servers and remain stored in my account there, in addition to arriving in my mailbox. Formspree is a US company and applies its own privacy policy, which you can read on formspree.io. If that is a problem for you, do not use the form.
Advice: only write in this form what is necessary to get in touch. There is no need to put sensitive or confidential information in it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may ask to access, correct or delete the data concerning you. In practice, that means the messages you sent me. Just ask through the form and I will delete the corresponding entry on the Formspree side, along with the associated e-mail.
Messages received are kept for as long as the exchange requires, then deleted.
Changes
If the site evolves and the way data is handled changes, this page will be updated.
